With unwavering resolve, Arunabh embarked on a relentless pursuit of excellence, undertaking the Herculean task of preparing for competitive exams while juggling the demands of a full-time job. Through countless nights of burning the midnight oil and sacrificing leisure for the pursuit of knowledge, Arunabh emerged victorious, securing admission into an esteemed MBA program in Sales and Marketing in Kolkata.

 

Armed with newfound credentials and a glimmer of hope, Arunabh entered the corporate arena, securing a job in sales through campus placement. Yet, amidst the veneer of professional success, Arunabh grappled with an unshakeable sense of dissatisfaction, a gnawing feeling that his potential and talents were being squandered in the mundanity of sales targets and stagnant growth with meagre increments. Despite his relentless efforts, his salary remained stagnant, inching up to a mere Rs 20,000 over the course of 3.5 years, leaving him feeling undervalued and underappreciated.

 

Day after day, Arunabh traversed the sweltering streets of Assam, trudging from one distributor point to another, beseeching retailers to purchase products under the relentless glare of the scorching sun and torrential downpours. The weight of unmet sales targets bore down upon him, suffocating his spirit and corroding his sense of purpose.

 

With a trembling heart and a flicker of hope, after 3.5 years, in the current job, Arunabh summoned the courage to embark on a journey of self-discovery, leaving behind the familiar comforts of home to seek new horizons in Bangalore. Armed with nothing but determination and a steadfast belief in his abilities, Arunabh embarked on a quest for redemption, navigating the labyrinthine streets of the bustling metropolis in pursuit of his dreams.

 

With just a 15-day leave from current job, despite his fears and uncertainty, he persisted, attending interviews until he landed in a marketing job, which offered Rs 25,000 a month. Though it barely covered his living expenses, it was a start.

 

Amidst the cacophony of urban chaos, a beacon of hope emerged in the form of a friend's suggestion to explore the realm of SAP. Trusting his friend's counsel, Arunabh embarked on a journey of self-discovery, dedicating himself wholeheartedly by waking up early, studying late into the night for mastering the intricacies of SAP, amidst the rigors of a demanding job and the uncertainties of a new city.

 

Through moments of self-doubt, despair, and frustration, Arunabh persisted, fuelled by the flicker of hope that illuminated his path through the darkness of uncertainty. And after 18 months of relentless struggle and unwavering determination, Arunabh's perseverance paid off as he secured a coveted position in SAP, marking the culmination of his arduous journey. This new opportunity came just before his marriage, a relief as his Rs 30,000 salary would barely sustain them in Bangalore.

 

Today, as Arunabh stands on the threshold of a new chapter in his life, he does so with gratitude in his heart for the trials and tribulations that shaped him into the person he is today.
